Our Approach

This privacy statement outlines the way Occulus International Pty Ltd (ABN 19 154 537 774) and its employees (hereinafter referred to as “Occulus International” or “We”) collects, holds and discloses information about you in connection with possible employment. We may disclose your personal information to our Clients now or in the future for the purpose of placing you in a suitable contract or permanent role and we will retain your information in our database for this purpose. Occulus International may amend this Privacy Policy at different times, subject to all relevant privacy laws and regulations in force at the relevant time (‘Privacy Laws’). Occulus International is located in Balmain East, NSW and is governed by, and adheres to Federal Privacy Act 1988. Subject to this statement, Occulus International will not rent, sell, or share any of your personal information with other people, businesses or companies unless otherwise stated.


Information Collected by Occulus International

Generally, the type of personal information we collect about you is the information included in your application or resume. Where possible we collect your personal information directly from you. Occulus International may collect information about you, such as your name, contact details, skills, qualifications, nationality, languages spoken, professional association memberships or accreditation’s, interests and your employment history and past responsibilities. We may also collect other personal information. After receipt of your resume or during our interview, we may request additional information including details of referees and references. We may receive information about you, as a result of enquiries we make with former employers, work colleagues, professional associations or registration bodies. We may conduct security checks or receive the results of any tests or examinations. We may also receive performance feedback, any complaint from or about you in the workplace, information about a workplace accident involving you, any information about any insurance investigation, litigation, registration or professional disciplinary matter, criminal matter, inquest or enquiry in which you are involved. When you attend our office for an interview or participate in an interview with us by any other means, we may record the information you give us either electronically or manually. Where practicable, the purpose for which we collect personal information and any consequences of not providing it will be made clear at the time of collection. If you do not supply the information required we may be limited in our ability to locate suitable employment for you and place you in work.


How we use your information

Occulus International will use the personal information we collect for the purpose described at the time of collection, or otherwise as set out in this Statement. We will not use your personal information for any other purpose without first seeking your consent, unless authorised or required by law.

Generally we will only use and disclose your personal information to:

  • Establish and maintain your relationship with Occulus International Recruitment;
  • Determine your suitability for actual or potential roles;
  • Pay you for work completed;
  • Provide training, performance appraisals or workplace rehabilitation;
  • Third parties (with your prior consent) who can assist in the process of placing you.

We may also use your personal information to advise you of events that we think may be of interest to you such as newsletters; invitations to seminars or business functions, and general information about Occulus International (e.g. change of contact details). Disclosure of your information

Occulus International client information is not disclosed to any third party, unless approval has been obtained by you. Occulus International uses the information you supply to us to place you in suitable employment. The information we collect from you is for the sole purpose of job placement and is strictly confidential. With your consent, we may disclose elements of your personal information to potential employers, clients who may wish to engage your services as a permanent, contractor or temporary employee, organisations that conduct tests, referees, a worker’s compensation body, and suppliers of services to us or our related entities.


Access to your information

You may access the personal information that Occulus International holds about you unless we are legally authorised to refuse your request. If you wish to change personal information that is out-of date or inaccurate, please contact Occulus International. After notice from you, we will take reasonable steps to correct any of your information which is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

Information on how to participate forms part of these Terms & Conditions. By participating, claimants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Claimants must comply with these Terms & Conditions for a coupon code to be valid:

Each claimant is entitled to one coupon only. Coupons are transferable but are not redeemable for cash and cannot be combined with any other offer,discounts or promotions offered by Occulus International.

This coupon is identified by a code “94811111” and can only be used on an assignment on a retained basis. That is, the fee will be 10% and calculated on the salary package or average of the salary package range. It will be payable in three parts; a third upfront, a third once candidates have been selected for interview and a final third to be recalculated based on the agreed candidate salary.   

The client is to type the coupon code into the message field of the inquiry in the form or subject headline of their email to access to discount and for it to be applicable.If the claimant fails to enter the coupon code at the time of purchase as specified, the purchase will not be eligible for the discount. The reduced fee will not be claimable once the proposal has been signed off.

The coupon code will only be applicable if mentioned prior to the agreement being signed. This coupon has been created to attract first time customers. By using this coupon, a new customer acknowledges that this is a one time only offer to get the opportunity to show Occulus’ capabilities. Standard rates will apply to any project moving forward.

Should you have more than 1 role available, please contact [email protected] to extend this offer to all positions should they be active at the time of the claim. The searches must all run in conjunction for the coupon to apply.

Clients understand that Occulus International matches their fee percentage to their guarantee period. In this instance, the guarantee will apply for 10 weeks only.

Clients understand that this deal will be valid as long as the payments are made on time (by due date on the invoice). Should they not pay in a timely manner, the guarantee will be void.

This coupon code will be valid for a limited time only and will expire by 31st December 2020. It cannot be applied to assignments previously placed by Occulus International or be used by existing clients.

Once the initial proposal is signed off (in accordance with the cancellation policy), one third of the fee is payable even if the service is then cancelled by the claimant.

Occulus International shall not be liable for any loss or damages suffered or sustained as a result of accepting these terms and conditions and/or using the coupon, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

All other standard terms and conditions apply. They will be in the proposal. These Terms & Conditions are subject to Australian law and to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales. 

Occulus International reserves the right to discontinue the coupon code deal at any time.
