In this role, you will play a key part in safely and efficiently operating and maintaining production equipment to uphold high standards of product quality. 

The ideal candidate will have substantial technical expertise in a manufacturing environment, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and a firm commitment to safety and quality protocols.  

Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues within digital, screen-based automatic systems is essential. 

Key Responsibilities but not limited to are as follows:

  • Contribute to the maintenance of regulatory, company, and quality systems around completion of operating logs, testing, and recording. 
  • Previous experience in machine or food process operation in a manufacturing environment  
  • Recording of equipment checks and malfunctions when they occur. 
  • Experience in minimising wastage including product, packaging, process inputs, time, and chemicals and reporting any excessive wastage to the site manager. 
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous operation. 
  • Perform operations on production equipment following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols. 
  • Achieve specified production schedules. Document any deviations from the schedule and provide reasons for the variations.  
  • Ensure that all startup and production changeovers adhere to verbal and written procedures. 
  • Notify and report any unusual issues that arise which could potentially disrupt the operation’s efficiency.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in a manufacturing, processing, or production environment.  
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding technical documents and instructions. 
  • Proficiency in working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills 
  • Readiness to work flexible hours and overtime as required. 
  • Demonstrate the capacity to work autonomously while maintaining consistent collaboration with colleagues.  
  • Strong focus on detail with proficient fault-finding and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Strong computer literacy 
  • Strong problem-solving skills 
  • Strong experience in using hazard and incident reporting systems. 
  • Qualification in a relevant industry trade of 3+ years would be an advantage. 
  • Desire to grow into a leadership capacity.
