Maintenance Supervisor
Job Overview
Our client, based in Western Sydney is a market leader in the food manufacturing industry. They are looking for an experienced Maintenance supervisor to lead the Maintenance department and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support site operations.
This role will play a crucial role in maintaining seamless and efficient operations within the department, particularly during their designated shift.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the supervision, development, and training programs, as well as certification requirements for the site maintenance team.
- Responsible for maintenance programs including Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, Predictive Maintenance, Equipment Overhauls, and Upgrades.
- Demonstrate proactive and collaborative leadership.
- Take the lead in ensuring safety, actively participating in incident and hazard management.
- Identify and troubleshoot operational issues, escalating, as necessary.
- Guarantees that maintenance activities contribute to the production of high-quality products.
- Ensure that the team is trained in safe work execution and drive enhancements to eradicate any safety hazards throughout the factory.
- Supervise workflows and address staffing requirements.
The successful candidate will hold the following skills and experience:
- Experience in leading medium to large teams.
- Experience in safe handling and operating of machines.
- Demonstrated leadership in food and beverage manufacturing.
- Firm dedication to Workplace Health and Safety
- Knowledge of HACCP and WHS system
- Proficient communication skills with various stakeholders at different levels
- Ability to communicate effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge to assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of machines.
- Proven experience in a similar production role within a beverage manufacturing environment
- You must have Australian working rights.
